Rebecca Dolan, AuD,
CCC-A, was born and raised in San Jose. She
has been with the Hearing Resource Center of
San Mateo since the doors opened in 2003.
Dr. Dolan’s educational preparation began
at California State University, Chico where
she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Speech Pathology and Audiology. There,
she was one of the founders of “Talking
Hands” sign language group on campus. She
obtained her Masters degree from California
State University, Long Beach where she was
the recipient of an Outstanding Thesis
award. Dr. Dolan took a year off from school
after graduation to work at an ENT clinic in
Las Vegas for a year and then moved to
Boston, MA for four years. While in Boston
she was working on her doctorate degree
while working full time for a hearing aid
manufacturing company as an outside field
representative. This gave Dr. Dolan some
inside knowledge as to how hearing aids are
made and the research that is conducted for
advances in hearing aid technology.
Dr. Dolan received her doctorate from
University of Florida in December of 2003.
She is a certified member of the American
Speech-Language & Hearing Association and
licensed with the California Speech-Language
Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid
Currently Dr. Dolan is specializing in
adult diagnostic testing and amplification.
She is passionate about hearing aids and
aural rehabilitation. She enjoys helping her
patients to hear better, understand their
hearing loss and how to best communicate
with those around them.
In her spare time she enjoys being with
her two children and husband. She is a
former race car driver and published poet.
She enjoys being outside, hiking, camping
and just being with her family.
