Rebecca Dolan, AuD, CCC-A

Rebecca Dolan, AuD, CCC-A, was born and raised in San Jose. She has been with the Hearing Resource Center of San Mateo since the doors opened in 2003.

Dr. Dolan’s educational preparation began at California State University, Chico where she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. There, she was one of the founders of “Talking Hands” sign language group on campus. She obtained her Masters degree from California State University, Long Beach where she was the recipient of an Outstanding Thesis award. Dr. Dolan took a year off from school after graduation to work at an ENT clinic in Las Vegas for a year and then moved to Boston, MA for four years. While in Boston she was working on her doctorate degree while working full time for a hearing aid manufacturing company as an outside field representative. This gave Dr. Dolan some inside knowledge as to how hearing aids are made and the research that is conducted for advances in hearing aid technology.

Dr. Dolan received her doctorate from University of Florida in December of 2003. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association and licensed with the California Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Bureau.

Currently Dr. Dolan is specializing in adult diagnostic testing and amplification. She is passionate about hearing aids and aural rehabilitation. She enjoys helping her patients to hear better, understand their hearing loss and how to best communicate with those around them.

In her spare time she enjoys being with her two children and husband. She is a former race car driver and published poet. She enjoys being outside, hiking, camping and just being with her family.
