Christine Telleen
M.A., M.A., F-AAA
Christine Telleen, M.A., M.A., F-AAA, has worked as a clinical diagnostic audiologist at the Hearing Resource Center of San Mateo, evaluating children and adults, since 2003.
Mrs. Telleen received her B.A. in psychology from Carleton College, and her Master’s degree in Education of the Deaf from Northwestern University. She taught elementary age children with hearing impairment at St. Joseph School for the Deaf in Oakland and in the Hearing Impaired Program at Capuchino High School in Millbrae. She also taught multiply handicapped adults in the San Mateo Adult School program at the Easter Seal Society Center in Burlingame, CA.
After completing a Master’s degree in Audiology at San Francisco State University, Mrs. Telleen worked as a part of the Cochlear Implant Research team at UCSF Medical Center developing Aural Rehabilitation program and test materials. She also worked in the Outpatient Audiology Clinic at the UCSF Ambulatory Care Center doing adult and pediatric diagnostic audiologic evaluations, hearing aid evaluations and fittings.
Mrs. Telleen and her husband have been San Mateo residents since 1979, raising their children in the San Mateo community, and enjoying volunteering in various school, church and swim team activities.
